I understand how difficult impaired vision can make your life.  If you have macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, Stargardt Disease and other eye conditions you may have been told that nothing will help you.  It is true that there is no cure for these conditions.  As a low vision doctor I understand how to help.  People   come to me wanting to see the best that they are capable of. They want to remain active and independent.  By taking the time to carefully evaluate their remaining vision I am often able to help them return to important activities like reading, recognizing friend’s faces and using a computer.  Some are able to drive, safely and legally.  I prescribe special microscopic and telescopic glasses that help people with macular degeneration and other eye conditions. Low vision glasses can be life changing for someone with impaired vision.
