"I no longer feel left out,"

I've recently called 3 of my low vision patients to ask how they are doing with their bioptic telescopic glasses.  I requested quotes to be used in an article I am preparing.  All three love the bioptics and use them daily.  

It was interesting to me that two of them described the feeling of being left out when other people were able to see things that they could not.  One lady told me that before I prescribed her bioptic glasses she was not able to see when someone scored at a basketball game.  She knew that a team has made a basket when the other fans began cheering.  Now that she uses the bioptics she's able to see the ball go through the hoop and even read the scoreboard..
