Inspiring Article in Guideposts magazine

There is a very inspiring article in the October 2014 issue of Guideposts.  The piece is called "Double Vision".  Author Karen Young and her twin Sharon began losing vision in their teenage years.  Due to the progression of Stargardt's Disease (juvenile macular degeneration) they had to change their plans for college and careers.  Sustained by their faith they maintained a positive attitude and lived their lives to the fullest.  Both married and have children.  Karen says "Maybe God made us twins so we wouldn't have to suffer alone".

Their lives changed when a friend, Mrs. Smith, heard of a low vision optometrist, Dr. Edward Paul.  Dr Paul prescribed low vision glasses for them and "For the first time in thirty years we could read".

I know Dr. Paul well.  He is an excellent low vision optometrist and a great person.  The glasses that he prescribed for Karen and Sharon are called Clear Image Microscopes.  They are used for reading and magnify what is seen so it is easier to read.

I think that the Guideposts article illustrates well that if you keep a positive attitude and keep looking for a solution God will lead you to the answer.
