I really appreciate the patients who have allowed me to use their photos and low vision information on this website as well as my Facebook page and YouTube page.  People with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, Stargardt's disease, optic atrophy, albinism and other conditions are often told that nothing can be done to help them.  When they hear of low vision glasses and read that they may be skeptical because of what they've been told. Reading about the success of others with similar vision problems and hearing their testimonies can be very helpful.
